This video gives my thoughts on stacking fractional gold bullion coins. In this case 1/4 quarter oz gold Britannia and a 1oz ounce gold Britannia are used visually. I bought these from Sharps Pixley in London.Do consider subscribing channel if you often see yourself as a stacker asking….Is silver a good Investment? Is gold a good investment?Gold price predictionWhere to buy goldHow to buy physical gold UKInvesting in silver for beginnersInvesting in silver UKInvesting in gold UKInvesting in silver coinsInvesting in gold coinsInvesting in silver bullionInvesting in gold bullionInvesting in silver and goldInvesting in silver and gold for beginnersInvesting in silver barsShould I buy gold now? 1. I purchase fractional gold because that’s what I can afford and as a means of dollar cost averaging. My preferred coin is the 1/4 ounce but sometimes I will include 1/10 ounce coins.

  2. for me i want 1 oz but another channel had someone explain if laws changed on the metals and have a limit on sales, fractional ends up being better in that type of situation

  3. I buy fractional gold but I get the 5 and 10 gram bars.

I usually get one of those gold bars and a couple 1 ounce generic SD Bullion silver bars.

I just started buying the fancy silver collector’s coins. I just ordered a 1 ounce Odin silver coin earlier. I got bored and with the generic silver. The collector’s coins cost a little bit more but these are pieces I’ll never sell. Not even if SHTF.

  4. Don’t ignore the Gram bars for the best premiums. It seems that all the fractional oz all carry much higher premiums that similar gram equivilents.

  5. Awesome Video. Intresting as 1/4 Gold is now £424 so you have already made a nice profit! Subscribed :)

  6. I think most of your stack should be in 1oz with a smaller percentage in fractional, otherwise your getting hammered on the premiums.

    1. I don’t disagree Stuart – it was a lot easier to buy fractional however when I had less money to spend. These days I go for the full 1oz or Sov’s

  7. People need to be reminded, when buying precious metals. You are quite literally just transferring fiat currency. Not like buying a depreciating liability, like a vehicle, a camera etc. Yes prices go up and down but anyone saw fiat inflation 🤮😅

  8. My stacking strategy is all fractional, and I’m proud of it so far. I only just started though, who knows how much “premium anxiety” I’ll have in a year from now.

    1. I just started back up myself. I received my 3rd 1/4 oz gold coin today. Got a display box for 36 coins I’m looking to fill

  9. I think it is smart to get fractional when a bullion dealer or coin shop is running a heck of a deal. I’m also in the U.S. though

  10. Beautiful they are, just got my first grams in, a little small lol and awesome indeed… new sub and liked spread the love ✌🏼

    1. Welcome on board Jerry! I have a fair few videos talking all about precious metals so hopefully you find a few that are useful. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to hear about. Metal Head.

  11. I’ve become enamored with gold and haven’t bought any yet, but there’s no way I can get an ounce rn especially with the energy cap increase, so I’m looking at 1/4 Britannia’s or sovereigns.

I think it would be easier to save for a bigger, lesser premium coin after I’ve got my first

    1. Solace my friend – that is how I started. I bought some fractional and worked my way up. I hope you enjoy learning more about stacking and getting into it as a hobby. All my best, Metal Head.

  12. I bought the 2022 1/4 gold Britannia to turn it into a pendant hahaha. I see it as a beautiful motif to honor the Queens death, as it is most likely this year will be the last to see her head minted on such coins.

    1. I’m guessing the 2023 Britannia’s have already been minted before her death and awaiting distribution towards the end of the year, I maybe wrong.

    2. @Jeff Moss maybe and it is possible, but I think for collector’s like myself, I would much prefer the coin year of her death.

    3. @Nagasaski when George VI died in 52, coins came out with his head on the following year 53 because they’d been minted already, I ‘m sure there will be coins minted in memory of the Queen in 2023.

    4. Sounds lovely and a fitting tribute. We’re yet to hear on if she’ll be minted next year but Jeff – I would certainly be buying a commemoration coin if one is produced! Metal Head.
