Is Fractional Gold Bullion Overpriced?

https://www.youtube .com/watch?v=OyiCJ_BKPIw

In this video I talk about fractional gold bullion and if it is overpriced or not. Fractional gold is any piece of gold that is smaller than an ounce. If you are investing in gold then you need to be purchasing it at the lowest premium possible. Fractional gold typically has higher premiums compared to buying an ounce of gold. Fractional gold stacking is very popular because of the lower price point. In this video I mention that I prefer fractional gold coins over fractional gold bars, but that is mostly personal preference. The biggest part of my fractional gold collection is my fractional gold eagles. I have 4 fractional gold eagles and I hope to be picking up more in the near future! In my opinion the best fractional gold coins to buy are the ones with the lowest premiums. If you have no gold at all then perhaps something like a 1/10 ounce gold coin might be right for you, but I would not buy a lot of them because of the premiums. It was interesting that in making the video I discovered that currently the gold sovereign coin had the lowest premium. I will be fractional gold stacking as much as I can if I can keep finding good deals and I hope to be increasing my fractional gold collection by a few more gold coins in the coming months. The BEST and WORST Types of Silver for Stacking or Investing Check out SD Bullion for AWESOME Deals on Gold and Silver! https://sdbullion.com/dragonsBelow are some AWESOME products that I use:Inexpensive Scale for Weighing Silver and Gold https://amzn.to/35sgcQWBlack Ring Capsules for most Silver Bullion Coins (38mm) https://amzn.to/37oARH7Black Ring Capsules for American Silver Eagles (40mm) https://amzn.to/2s79Wj3Gloves for Handling Coins https://amzn.to/2QGCKJxPaypal/Email:[email protected] check me out on Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/silverdrago…If you want to mail me anything here is my address:S. 1. Thanks! I needed that. I’m going to buy a bunch of gold tomorrow, and I wasn’t sure which way to go, but now I am!!

  2. The US eagles have the same amount of actual gold as the maples i think. They add copper and silver on top of the gold weight for extra strength/scratch resistance. So you are getting a bit of silver and copper too :)

  3. I’ve found $100 bills to be useful when traveling, but I have a feeling that will change soon. Obviously bribes don’t work the way they do in the movies, there is literally nothing stopping the bad guy from just taking the money and still doing what they planned, or if a cop, hitting you with a fresh set of charges for bribery. On the other hand it isn’t like everybody in a poor country is trying to sell you to kidnappers either. Sometimes people get that you’re lost and want to help you, but also are on the fence about trying to help you, bc they don’t know what kind of trouble you might get them involved in, and conscience is easy to suppress if they think there’s risk involved; A gram of gold is a large pro to a random civilian in a 3rd world country, but also doesn’t scream “rich;” Though I still recommend the backseat. In most places US currency is defacto accepted, but in some places the locals avoid it like the plague bc it can get them killed if they’re caught with it. Combine learning to not look American (it isn’t hard if you’re attentive) with very small pieces of metal that are worth something, and you have a last ditch “please take me to my hotel” bargaining chip even if your cell phone and wallet have been taken in a mugging or pick pocketing. I’m fairly racially ambiguous, quick to pick up accents, decent with languages, and pay close attention to local fashion and body language down to the expressions people wear, so I’ve been able to blend into alot of places, but YMMV. That’s the only point I see in high premium over spot fractional size gold. Jewelry is way easier to get though customs without questions, but it’s very difficult to appraise on the spot so it’s less useful for this purpose.

  4. Idk why people say pieces “hold their premium” everywhere I’ve seen pays spot or just below no matter what it is

  5. The greatest RIP OFF is the American gold eagle, and the American silver eagle coins… When compared with Canada’s gold, and silver coins, the eagle coins both silver, and gold are homely, plain, and over priced ….

  6. It is a ripoff for the premium!! If the gold cost 1/10 of the price of an ounce, the. It should match of 1/10 of the price of a premium of one ounce of gold!

  7. Second hand sovereigns is where it’s at for me. 7% premium which isn’t too bad considering I buy half sovs

  8. In May of 2022, the Gold Eagle has the highest premium of all the bullion coins. I checked SD Bullion today for a quarter ounce gold eagle and the premium was 31%. The same size Britannia and Philharmonic was only 8.5%.

  9. I did the math for like 4 hours last night and the best deal for fractional Gold are the 10 gram bars, the premium is low, BUT when in a crisis; who knows what will be easiest to barter off? … if I was guessing; I’d say the francs, the 1/4 oz coins or even the 90% 2 pesos coins
